Aerocraft Heat Treating CO. Inc is a PCC owned commercial heat treater of steel, titanium, & high temperature materials. Founded in 1959, Aerocraft processes forgings, castings, bar, plate, and rough-machined parts. Materials are processes for most of the aerospace prime contractors.
Job Summary:
The Quality Specialist is responsible for order entry, communicating and/or resolving customer issues with orders, creating necessary documentation for shop floor, and scanning and filing closed orders. Ensuring accuracy of order information and communicate any changes or issues regarding the POs to the customers. Furthermore, they may work with other departments, such as operations, quality, engineering, and shipping to resolve any issues and enhance customer satisfaction. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills both written and verbal.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Perform "Contract Review" and generate Job Cards (i.e. shop routing documents OR travelers).
- Review "Job Cards" for accuracy and compliance with applicable specifications and customer purchase order.
- Help maintain all applicable specifications and documents required to perform material processing.
- Help maintain specification library.
- Help close out completed jobs.
- Verify Certification packages are complete and correct.
- Perform internal audits.
- Review and enter new work orders from existing customers into Oracle and transfer into the internal ERP system.
- Review incoming job documentation and report issues to various departments.
- Resolve issues with customers concerning pricing discrepancies, quantities, work scope, part marking, etc.
- Request price changes from customer.
- Create job folders and print out shop floor documentation.
- Cancel jobs when requested by customer.
- Scan closed files into the server and file hard copies.
- Act as the primary backup for back-end quality processes. (e.g. cert packets)
- Assist other departments during times of reduced workload.
- Verify customer purchase order complies with specification requirements.
- Respond to customer requests for corrected certifications or other documentation in a timely manner.
- Maintain positive relationship with customers by promoting efficiency and responding to customer requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Computer literate.
- Must be fluent in English for reading and writing.
- Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Records management, office systems and procedures experience preferred.
Experience & Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED is required.
- 1-2 years of office experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
- 1+ years of data entry experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Oracle is preferred.
For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $18.00 to $22.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company’s bonus multiple, based on the Company’s performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
