The AIM-9X program had an immediate opening for a Principal Financial Analyst. This role would include implementation of several contracts for the Development portfolio. AIM-9X program equate roughly to $600M of annual revenues in support of a Navy, Air Force, Army and FMS customer base. You will also have the opportunity get exposure to other contracts as their desire and skillset permits (fleet training, mission planning, etc). This role serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight and guidance to program leadership in order to enable strategic decisions leading to program execution and fiduciary success. This amazing portfolio includes ongoing implementation of a handful of unique DoD contract types, at various phases in the program life cycle, and therefore the ideal candidate must be able to prioritize and allocate resources in a challenging, deadline driven environment. In addition, professional and effective communication skills are required due to the frequent interaction with program, product line and functional leadership.

What you Will Do

• Support the creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis including costs, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.
• CDRL preparation.
• Monitoring the funding, invoicing, and cash collection for the contract.
• Contract modification processing and maintenance of modification log.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Business or a related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with finance tools (Program costs, scheduling, tracking, proposals and/or forecasting)
• Experience with Earned Value, Estimates at Completion (EACs).

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience comparing actuals vs budget (variance analysis).
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information concisely to a cross functional team.
• Independent, self-motived, and highly organized.
• Innovative, strategic thinker.
• Demonstrated experience with tools such as Business Warehouse, PRISM, and Operations/Material dashboard.
• Ability to meet critical deadlines and develop applied solutions and process improvements.

Additional Information

• This position is grade P3, Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls.
• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
