Job Description SummaryThis role is a part of the Separation Management Office supporting the transition from GE Corporate to GE Aerospace. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the planning and implementing of multiple large scale transition efforts.

The Preboarding Services Specialist delivers services supporting various GE Aerospace functions within preboarding the processes. This role is focused on facilitating efficient onboarding by working directly with the new hires and aiding them in the completion of all onboarding requirements. Additionally, this role responds and solves to process queries from employees, managers and HRM’s in a timely and professional manner according to established standards, expectations, and established metrics. Provides continuous improvement focus to improve customer service levels and delivery of efficient processes and services. The Preboarding Services Specialist is essential in creating a positive first impression for new employees and setting the foundation for their success within the company.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Serving as first point of contact in preboarding support and services in a faced paced environment for various client groups within GE Aerospace.
  • Manages day to day support for preboarding related service tickets, processes, transactions, escalations and program/event support (including offer letters, employment agreements, background checks, drug screen and other preboarding documentation and processes).
  • Provides a positive customer experience for functional stakeholders, external candidates, employees, HRMs and people managers to deliver efficient services.
  • Leverage relationships with various functions throughout the business to understand their needs and execute accordingly.
  • Continuous communication to People Leaders to ensure positive hire experience within preboarding and beyond, ensuring new hire has a warm welcome into GE Aerospace.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a high demand environment.
  • Operate within the compliance guidelines while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Learns and applies Lean principles in maintenance of functional standard work and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Human Resources).

Desired Characteristics:

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Experience in background check review and adjudication
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in HRIS systems, Workday preferred
  • Ability to influence, advise and guide others through options and points of view
  • Ability to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters
  • Demonstrated skill in judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems
  • Experience in customer service delivery.
  • Experience in reconciling and interpreting large data sets, analytics and performance metrics
  • Knowledge of employment and hiring practices and regulations, industry practices, products and methodologies
  • Knowledge of tiered support service models and applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Pay and Benefits:

  • The pay for this position is $ 55,000 - 80,000. This posting is expected to close on April 22nd, 2024.
