Oracle Database Administrator

Job Description:

Tasks

Install, configure, patch, upgrade and manage Grid Infrastructure for a Standalone server
Monitor database performance, proactively identify issues, and optimize
Perform Backup and Recover with RMAN
Duplicate a Database (RMAN)
Managing Memory Components
Transport Data (datapatch)
Understanding The Oracle Optimizer
Troubleshoot database errors, resolve performance bottlenecks
Document procedures, configurations, and other database configurations in line with compliance requirements.
Support customers to define and decide the right infrastructure for their databases
Maintain database system trackers with relevant data.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
Very good knowledge on database concepts ( database instance, data manipulation, High Availability, Backup and Recovery )
Very good knowledge of Linux Operating System
Database administration experience - troubleshooting and incident solving
Scripting and automation skills using languages like Bash/PowerShell.
Understanding the Automatic Workload Repository (AWR)
Previous experience with Oracle databases ( 2-3 years )
Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g. Azure).
Relevant certifications are a plus -( ex: Oracle Certified Professional )
