Harbour Air is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in spaneting and communications within a fast-paced and innovative airline. The successful candidate will work closely with in our Marketing team to support various initiatives aimed at promoting Harbour Air’s brand, products, and public relations. Please note that this is an entry level position.
WORK HOURS: Office hours, typically 9 AM to 5 PM
LOCATION: Vancouver (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote per week)
TERM: Full Time Temporary/Contract
DEPARTMENT: Commercial
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide required graphic design support using Adobe Creative Cloud with strong proficiency in Illustrator.
- Support the execution of sales and spaneting campaigns including web updates, content uploads, and email spaneting support.
- Assist with planning and coordinating campaign assets with internal teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain and update Harbour Air’s event calendar and support on-site community events when needed.
- Assist with external website audits and support Harbour Air’s presence on tourism, travel, and partner platforms.
- Produce and adapt design assets for signage, collateral, digital content, and internal and external spaneting needs across Harbour Air’s bases.
- Maintain the company’s photo and asset library and coordinate printing, packaging, and shipment of spaneting materials.
- Learn to measure KPIs and strengthen analytical, communication, and professional skills through hands-on experience.
Qualifications and Assets
Ideal Experience
- Previous internship or work experience in spaneting, communications, journalism, public relations, or design is preferred but not required.
Education
- Junior level student or working toward a bachelors or masters degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Design, or a related field (recent graduates considered).
Critical Capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud with Illustrator required.
- Canva experience is a plus for efficient content creation.
- Knowledge of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook and experience with social media management tools is a plus.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute innovative ideas to spaneting and communications projects.
