Job Description SummaryThe Lead Security Specialist manages programs and employs systems to protect employees, operations, and resources in compliance with business policies and procedures as well as US Department of Defense (DOD) regulations and other US Government compliance programs. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, contribute to the overall strategy, and manage complex issues across the full spectrum of security services.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, coordination, and leadership for security processes and procedures applicable to business policies, US Government programs, and Department of Defense (DOD) standards.
  • Develops, implements, and audits Site Security Plans as well as elements of the Security Framework to drive program compliance.
  • Advances security system integration for access control, video surveillance, visitor management, locksmith, parking and badging, and other security systems and processes.
  • Use subject matter knowledge to contribute to, develop, and maintain Physical Security Standards (e.g., perimeter barriers, bollards, fencing, gates, vehicle access), and improve security-in-depth.
  • Supports Security Leadership with crisis management, security operations, investigations and budget/program management.
  • Management of guard forces, to include oversight of union-based security force administration and payroll.
  • Conducts and manages security related investigations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Security)
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in security management, physical security, and/or law enforcement.

  • ASIS International Physical Security Professional or Certified Protection Professional certifications preferred.
  • Prior experience providing security services in a US Department of Defense program.
  • Extensive knowledge of security protocol and procedures.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide training on security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
