Job Description SummaryAs the Lead Programs Security Specialist, you will function as a Personnel Security Specialist. You will be responsible for the proficient execution of duties pertaining to Special Access Program personnel security. You will implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, with strict adherence to NISPOM, JSIG, ICDs and other applicable Executive Order and DOD regulations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain a security education, training, annual refresher training, debriefings, and event specific training.
  • Train a large number of personnel.
  • Operate and maintain a document control system and conduct annual inventories.
  • Operate and maintain a personnel security program including proficiency in the initiation, recertification and continual maintenance of security clearances/accesses, foreign travel, adverse information reporting, visit certs.
  • Oversee the utilization of Personnel Security Databases such as JADE/DISS.
  • Coordinate and work directly with the government customer and government support offices, building management staff, and host security/facility managers for all facility related issues, special events, and operating procedures.
  • Work as a strong contributing member of a small team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 7 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 9 years of professional experience.
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
  • Security Clearance: DOD Secret (adjudicated within the last six years)
  • Candidate must have the ability to work in a high tempo environment and manage work under pressure. Candidate must be accustomed to working in a controlled environment with change and security policies consistent with government/enterprise. Candidate must have demonstrated customer support, interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
