Job Summary:
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position supports the corporate office directors with HR related matters, which includes, but is not limited to, employee relations, training and leadership development, policy creation, revision and interpretation, employee coaching and performance management. This position provides leadership and oversight to the Occupational Health department.
Responsibilities Include:
- Provides leadership support, direction and decision making to Occupational Health, Leave Management and ADA operations ensuring operational consistency, efficiency, and legal compliance are maintained.
- Manages the annual evaluation performance program, revises evaluations, training and processes accordingly.
- Manages leadership development to include regulatory training requirements, and leadership training, coaching, mentoring, leading and managing change, etc.
- Creates or revises HR policies and procedures as applicable based on the business needs, or changes as required by the regulatory environment, and in accordance with federal/state law(s).
- Directs and assists with improvement of internal processes to ensure efficient and responsive service delivery.
- Partners with leaders to conduct investigations and pre-disciplinary meetings as needed.
- Provides guidance on employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Participates in candidate interviews and provides guidance and feedback for candidate review and selection.
- Participates in department meetings as needed.
- Manages confidential and sensitive information.
- Provides reports as needed on various data tracking requirements.
- Creates and maintains meaningful internal and external business relationships to foster trust and support.
- Travel as needed to meet business needs.
Schedule and Location
A Successful Candidate will have:
- Bachelors degree in human resources or related field, or at minimum 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources; supervisory experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Must possess excellent writing, speaking and interpersonal communications skills.
- Requires excellent communications, negotiations and conflict resolution skills.
- Advanced level of software knowledge to include Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Supervisory and budget responsibility.
- This position is designated Safety Sensitive for purposes of the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act.
