The ERP Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in supporting StandardAero’s enterprise applications, ensuring that business processes run efficiently across operations, supply chain, finance, and maintenance/repair/overhaul (MRO) environments. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, identifying and documenting requirements, troubleshooting issues, and managing delivery of bugs and enhancements that support StandardAero’s operational excellence.
What youll do:
- Manage the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for software bugs and enhancements, ensuring deliver of changes that meet the stakeholder requirements and timeline.
- Lead the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements and specifications in collaboration with internal users and departments.
ERP Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide day-to-day functional support for StandardAero’s ERP systems, including issue triage, root-cause analysis, and coordinating fixes.
- Monitor system performance and data integrity; escalate technical issues to developers or vendors as needed.
- Assist users with inquiries, process questions, and system navigation.
Business Process Analysis
- Work with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate them into functional requirements.
- Map current and future-state processes, identifying opportunities for improvement or automation.
- Support change management activities, including documenting training materials and assisting with user adoption.
Enhancement & Project Support
- Participate in ERP enhancement projects, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring requirements are clearly defined and validated.
- Collaborate with IT, PMO, and business groups to design, test, and implement new features and modules.
- Perform functional testing, regression testing, and support UAT with end users.
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
Data & Reporting
- Assist in developing dashboards, queries, and reports to support business decision-making.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across ERP modules and integrated systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and MRO business units to understand unique requirements.
- Partner with vendor support teams to resolve issues and evaluate enhancement options.
- Provide training and coaching to end users across the enterprise.
Position Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in Canada and/or the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Post-Secondary Education in Business, Business Analysis, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering Technology
- At least 3+ years’ experience with ERP system technology, and deep business understanding of ERP domains (Accounting, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Human Resources, Inventory Management, Sale, Purchasing, etc)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in eliciting requirements end-users for insight on functionality, interface, problems, and/or usability issues.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements and documentation.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and to be able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.
- Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of core business (manufacturing) processes: procurement, inventory, production, finance, or Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Characteristics:
- Experience and /or training in Agile software development
- ERP System experience (SAP, Sage, Infor, etc.)
- Implemented solutions in ERP system, work orders, shop operations, supply chain, etc. Writing Oracle/SQL scripts, databases.
- Ideally 3+ years experience in ERP space, 5 years IT overall
- Manufacturing environment experience or MRO facility preferred.
- Experience in aerospace, aviation MRO, or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with SQL queries, reporting tools, or system integrations.
- Experience participating in ERP implementations or upgrades.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident/change management.
