Northrop Grumman is looking for a Material Estimator, Level A2 supporting the Navigation, Targeting, & Survivability Division within NGMS. The position will be located in Rolling Meadows, IL and will enjoy both a 9/80 schedule and hybrid work location.
What You Will Get To Do:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare material estimates for proposal submittals
Support proposal reviews with detailed Bills of Materials and Cost Estimating Relationship (CERs) Estimates including accompanying supporting data
Compile costs, schedules, technical elements and hardware/sub-contractor costs in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications
Interact with other functional areas to troubleshoot issues in support of proposal requirements and deadlines
Develop cost models to support proposal efforts and overall pricing strategy
Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process
Present and brief material pricing, cost issues and risks to senior leadership
Prepare material price analysis to support business unit and GSC leaders in decision making as it pertains to specific pricing proposals
Support fact finding, audits, customer negotiations, and certifications while ensuring compliance during all aspects of the proposal process
Support Pricing and Estimating Team Initiatives
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Mathematics or related area
3+ Years of combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business or 1+ years with a Masters Degree
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
Excellent communication and coordination skills
A team player that possesses excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Aerospace/defense industry experience
Working understanding of TINA and FAR requirements
Working knowledge of material pricing systems
Knowledge of the business acquisition process
Experience using SAP
Risk Analysis and S-curve technique experience

Salary Range: $70,600 - $105,800
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
