Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Define key performance indicators to structure and analyze all ongoing business activities which includes the sale and purchase of surplus material as well as the management of surplus material stock levels
- Perform data analysis for subcontracting of component repair services to repair vendors (contracted MRO services)
- Implement performance dialogues between all levels within the department
- Provide detailed insights into our business by analyzing available data within USM Management in all regions (Americas, EMEA, Asia Pacific). Apply various statistical forecasting methods and qualitative and quantitative analytics
- Develop solutions in various tools including but not limited to: Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Java, R, SQL, KNIME, Filemaker

Requirements
The ideal Business Analyst must fulfill the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s degree desirable
- Experience in data mining and applying results for business needs
- Fluency in English language required
- German language desirable
- Basic knowledge of aviation or MRO industry desirable
- Knowledge of process optimization techniques (e.g. LEAN), performance dialogues and key performance indicators desirable
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, Qualitative and Quantitative Analytics, R, Word & PowerPoint, SAP; SQL, KNIME, Filemaker Python, Tableau
- Excellent ability to work under pressure
- Excellent adaptability
- Excellent communication
- Excellent responsibility
- Willing to work shifts
- Willingness to travel
- Must possess permit to work in the U.S.
