Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Administrative Assistant 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will require onsite support.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining physical and digital files
Arranging meetings and conferences: reserving conference rooms, managing conflicting Outlook calendars, creating/managing Outlook invites, coordinating meals, if necessary.
Coordinate on-boarding of personnel
Support and collaborate with other Administrative Assistants as needed
Preparing materials for internal meetings
Proactively answering questions relating to office operations and established policies and procedures
Purchasing necessary supplies and maintaining inventory within allotted budget
Gathering, compiling, and reporting on information relevant to supervisor’s assignment in a timely and accurate manner.
Arranging CONUS (domestic) and OCONUS (international) travel and managing expense reporting for team members
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of administrative or related experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Experienced with organizing/maintaining/deconflicting schedules, calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong ability to multi-task with competing priorities in a positive manner
Proficiency in business and travel expense system (Concur, Edge, or similar)
Excellent communication skills
Experience working in large, diverse teams
Experience with Microsoft Teams
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Salary Range: $43,700 - $72,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
