Position Summary
The Security, Administration and Logistics Clerk is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of visitors and perform administrative support tasks, and logistical support functions. Specifically, the Security, Administration and Logistics Clerk will be responsible for monitoring, and escorting of visitors, vendors and external guests into controlled access areas and other locations within the facility and grounds, administrative and analytical responsibilities that contribute to the overall effectiveness, corporate alignment operational efficiency of the organization and monitoring of mail and receipt of packages.
Responsibilities
- Brief all visitors on FOD Awareness and ensure all visitors & vendors are logged accurately both in and out of the premises.
- Maintain accurate records of visitor activities and any unusual occurrences.
- Badge Processes and Access Control - Oversee the badge issuance process, ensuring visitors have the necessary credentials.
- Ensure visitors adhere to facility rules and regulations.
- Sorting and accounting for the proper location of incoming mail and received goods.
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place.
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Assure no damaged items are sent or received.
- Comparing packing lists to received packages and ensuring the received product, quantity etc. in each delivery match the packing list.
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
Requirements
- Current active-duty service-member within 4-6 months of separation/retirement.
- Completion of respective service's TAPS/TGPS.
- Must be able to complete a 91 day program.
- Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
Work Authorization
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and upon completion of the program be able to complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
- Tactical Air Support is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) required.
- Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.
- Specific work hours are 0800-1600 / 0700-1500.
