About the positionWe’re hiring an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the full-cycle accounts payable process. This role is critical to maintaining strong vendor relationships, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and supporting overall financial accuracy. The ideal candidate brings AP experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to perform, but not be limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
- Managing full-cycle paperless accounts payable, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing
- Reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and compliance with company policies
- Matching purchase orders, receipts, and invoices (3-way matching)
- Submitting list of invoices from your vendors that are due for payment
- Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate and organized vendor records
- Assisting with accruals, month end/year end close, audits and reporting as required
- Communicating professionally with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues
- Supporting the accounting team with additional financial and administrative tasks as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role
- Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and solid organizational skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear, professional communication and customer-service skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP Concur or ERP systems is an asset
- Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;
- Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
