JOB OVERVIEW
The Accounts Payable Clerk completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices
- Verifying invoice details to purchase orders or other supporting files/documents(ie NAV Canada reports/Landings reports/Fuel logs etc.)
- Research discrepancies
- Coding invoices to appropriate expense or capital account
- Reconcile and post invoices for payment
- Reconcile payment listing before issuing cheques or Electronic Funds Transfer
- Clearing cheques and payments for month end.
- Prepare accounts for wire transfer of funds
- Coordination of credit card reconciliation
- Filing, scanning, and sorting as required
Other
- Prepare and reconcile employee travel advances and expenses
- Any other tasks assigned by Supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
- Post-Secondary education complimented by one year of proven Accounting experience and/or related work experience
- Solid understanding of PST and GST regulation
- Proficient in Excel and Adobe
- Detail oriented and focus on accuracy

- Flexible and adaptable
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills

SALARY
The wage band is KF level 4, $44,968-$56,210 annually. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
